What is the FutureYou Fundamentals Course?

The FutureYou Digital Fundamentals course is aimed at getting you a job. It is a training programme designed to prepare you for jobs which are much needed in the Digital Media & Advertising industry because it is growing so quickly.

How does it work?

It's simple. If selected, we will put you through a rigorous 9 week part-time course during which time we will start presenting you to perspective employers. From there they may elect you to interview you further which could lead to a job offer. Our clients regularly employ new starters and university graduates. Having skills means they are more likely consider you because you have knowledge that other graduates do not. Organisations we work with include NZ media companies and agencies such as:

The Programme

We prepare you with the knowledge needed to:

  1. Buy and sell Digital Media

  2. Understand campaign performance

  3. Manage campaigns

  4. Understand associated technologies

  5. Understand what it takes to succeed in the workplace

Location and Requirements

The programme material is available online and is built upon with 9 x weekly face-to-face 5pm night classes based in the Auckland CBD. Weekly modules will take you about 3-4 hours each week to read but it is up to you to make sure you understand as much as possible as there are accompanying tests. You will also be required to study and complete the Google Adwords Fundamentals exam as a part of this programme

Selection Criteria

We do not require trainees to have a tertiary degree as a prerequisite but you must demonstrate an interest in digital marketing and have NZ residency or citizenship. Holders of temporary visas may be considered if they have some previous experience. You can come from a variety of backgrounds whether marketing, communications, web development, data, graphic design, science or commerce. However you must have good english (but does not have to be your first language), have attention to detail and be able to demonstrate an aptitude towards things such as:

  • Numeracy

  • Analytics

  • Technology

  • Programming

  • Software (particularly Microsoft Excel)

  • Great people skills

If you have experience with Google / Facebook products or any form of digital marketing then that's even better. It goes without saying that you need to be passionate and hard-working so if you think you have what it takes then we'd love to hear from you.

We are taking applications now for the next course starting 25 July. There are only 10 places available.  

Cost

The entire course costs $395 + GST. This includes access to the online training portal, 9 x workshop sessions, interview procurement and employment preparation.
